The Other Voice (From Kitchen): Tea, Anyone?
Me: Yes, Yes, definitely!
The Other Voice (Sometime later): Tea, Anyone?
Me: Yes, little bit!
The Other Voice (an hour later): Tea, Anyone?
Me: No! Ummmmm, may be. Well, Yes!
The Other Voice (another hour later): Tea, anyone!
Me: No, thanks. I just had! Okay, wait, I’ll have. Just a sip for formality.
The Other Voice (another hour later): Tea, anyone!
Me: Awww! No! My stomach is revolting. Wait, I will have, very little haan, just to give you company.
The Other Voice (another hour later): Tea, anyone!
Me: NOOO! Don’t ask again please. (Then smelling tea leaves). Yesss….! ‘Bacch jaye toh de dena’ (Give some in case you make extra)
And the tea tale continues…
While I have learnt to say “No” in other spheres of my life, moving my head horizontally to “Tea, Anyone?” is still not an option. After all, Tea is the only companion of solitude-seekers!
